About the Recipe

For an optimal culinary and nutritional experience, consider indulging in the velvety luxury of runny egg yolks. These luscious yolks boast a treasure trove of vital nutrients, including choline, a nutrient crucial for brain health and cognitive function. By maintaining the yolk's delicate consistency, you preserve the integrity of essential fat-soluble vitamins like vitamin D, critical for bone health and immune function. In their runny form, these golden yolks also retain the integrity of carotenoids such as lutein and zeaxanthin, potent antioxidants that support eye health and combat oxidative stress. So savor that indulgent moment when the golden yolk oozes onto your plate, as you not only delight your taste buds but also provide your body with a rich source of essential nutrients that contribute to overall well-being.

Ingredients

·     Eggs (up to 6 or as few as 1)

·     Water (enough to fill a small saucepan)

Preparation

Fill saucepan with water leaving enough room it doesn't boil over. Cover and bring to a hard boil.  Gently plunge egg(s) into the water, careful not to crack them.  Once all eggs are completely submerged, IMMEDIATELY start a timer for 7 minutes.  You MUST get this part right or you will overcook your yolks or undercook your whites.  Gross.  When the timer goes off use a spoon to gently remove eggs and run under cool water until you can manage to peel them without scalding your fingers.  Alternatively, you can refrigerate them for up to 5 days.  Enjoy!
